Cat Wet Food Retort Pouches — OEM & Private Label

What it is

Retort pouches are the dominant format in European wet cat food. The pouch is filled, sealed and then sterilised under pressure, which gives a shelf-stable product without refrigeration.

We produce three texture families: smooth mousse and pate, chunks suspended in gravy, and lighter soup formats. Recipes include tuna, salmon, chicken and crab, individually or in combination.

How we produce it

Wet food is made in our wet food workshop, which has an annual capacity of 10,000 tons. The workshop runs pouch filling lines and horizontal retort sterilisers. The facility holds BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety Issue 9 at Grade B+, which covers canned and dried categories, IFS Food Version 8 for pet food, and a GMP verification of conformity based on CAC/RCP 1-1969 (Rev. 2020).

Please note that our ISO 22000:2018 certificate covers dried treats, semi-moist food, biscuits and chews, and does not extend to wet and canned production. We state this explicitly rather than implying the certificate covers our whole range.

Specification and customisation

Fill weight, texture, meat-to-gravy ratio, recipe and pouch dimensions are all set per order. We do not publish a fixed nutritional specification, because every order is formulated to the buyer’s brief and target market requirements.

Ordering

Minimum order quantity is 300 kg per item. Samples are free with freight collect. Production completes within 45 days after artwork confirmation. Payment terms are T/T.
