What it is

A wrapped rawhide stick combines two things buyers want in one item: the chewing time of rawhide and the palatability of a meat coating. A strip of chicken or duck is spiral-wrapped around a rawhide core and the assembly is dried so the wrap holds firmly in place.

This is one of our highest-volume chew formats. We produce it in several lengths, from short bite-size pieces for small breeds through to long sticks.

How we produce it

Wrapping is done in our dried treats and chews workshop, which is covered by our BRCGS Issue 9 (Grade B+), IFS Food Version 8 and ISO 22000:2018 certificates. Our ISO 22000 scope explicitly includes dog chews. Finished product passes metal detection before packing.

Specification and customisation

Stick length, diameter, meat protein, the proportion of meat to rawhide and the finished moisture are all specified by the buyer. We also produce the same wrapping style on knotted bones and ring shapes — see our meat wrapped bones and chicken donuts.

Ordering

Minimum order quantity is 300 kg per item. Samples are free with freight collect. Lead time is within 45 days after artwork confirmation. Payment terms are T/T.
